RØRT was started by Jean Michel Grønnegaard Deleuran in the summer of 2019 - he had a dream of starting his own business coupled with the joy of preparing his own topping for open-faced sandwiches. This made him leave his comfortable office job and start RØRT. He wanted to take the boring pre-made toppings in supermarkets to new heights. At RØRT, they aim for organic ingredients and avoid additives. The mayonnaise plays a supporting role where the veggies are at the front and centre. They are not health fanatics, they just believe this gives a better taste. They are now serving up their 'handy' smørrebrød at Broens Gadekøkken, where you can try their egg & truffle or shrimp lovage with hand-peeled Greenland shrimps. You'll find them every day at Broens Gadekøkken during the week from 11.30 - 17.00 and Thursday, Friday & Saturday in the evening.
